Bremerton is the largest city on the Kitsap Peninsula. It represents the economic center of the region since it’s the home of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, which the city center is built around. Easy access to the waterfront is available throughout most of the unique neighborhoods. The U.S. Navy has strong ties to Bremerton and its vibrance is evident there today. To visit Seattle from Bremerton, you can easily drive onto the ferry (sailing time one hour). Alternatively, you can take a passenger-only fast ferry to get to your destination in half the amount of time. Well-maintained homes often offer beautiful views or waterfront access. Manette, a small community across the bridge from downtown is a compact business district with arts and restaurants alongside scenic water views.
